Stephen Miran was sworn in Tuesday as a member of the Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors, just in time to take part in the rate-setting decision on Tuesday. The former chair of the White House Council of Economic Advisers was nominated by President Donald Trump. Fed Governor Lisa Cook is also at the meeting. Trump has been trying to have her fired.
