Children as young as seven are being referred to Britain's national cybercrime intervention programme, with the average age being just 15. The NCA is seeing a year-on-year increase in referrals, mostly gamers aged 10 to 16, at the same time as insurance payouts to hacked UK businesses have rocketed 230%.
