Furthermore, a high-fat diet (HFD) is linked to cognitive impairments and neurodegeneration and has been shown to worsen the pathology of Alzheimer's disease-a progressive neurodegenerative condition-in mouse models. Yet, the underlying mechanisms remain largely elusive.
