Earlier this year, marine scientist Zachary MacMillan joined a research expedition onboard the CCGS Amundsen to study a deep sea coral garden off the coast of Makkovik. The corals, which are over 400 metres deep, are attached to an underwater cliff that is roughly 200 metres high.
