Italy's 16th assisted suicide takes place in Tuscany

A 63-year-old woman with a severe form of Parkinson's disease has committed medically assisted suicide in Tuscany, the right-to-die Luca Coscioni Association said on Thursday. It is Italy's 16th case of assisted suicide and the fourth in Tuscany. The association said the woman took her own life on May 4 by taking a lethal substance which was provided by the regional health authority along with the related instrumentation.
