Italy's tourism sector is set to register 142.2 million arrivals this year and 478.6 million overnight stays, up 2.1% and 0.4% respectively compared to 2025, according to estimates in a study by the Demoskopika research institute that ANSA has had a sneak preview of. It said that domestic demand was set to bounce back in 2026 after some slack years, with 64.8 million arrivals and 213 million overnight stays by Italian tourists.
