Romania’s Ministry of Finance has published the draft state budget for 2026 together with the accompanying macroeconomic report and projections for the 2027–2029 period. The draft outlines a budget deficit target of 6.2% of GDP for this year, equivalent to around RON 127.7 billion, as the government continues its effort to gradually reduce the country’s large fiscal imbalance.
