Ernesto Pasten is a senior research economist at the Central Bank of Chile and a research associate at Toulouse School of Economics. He received his PhD from Boston University. His research has focused in monetary economics on nominal and information frictions in pricing, central bank credibility, uncertainty and input-output networks; in fiscal policy on the micro structure of government spending; and in environmental macro on carbon taxes, productivity and adaptation to climate change.
