Foreign ministry officials from Bangladesh and Pakistan have met for talks for the first time in 15 years. Bangladesh’s former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina improved relations with Pakistan’s rival India during her time in office. However, her successor Muhammad Yunus seeks to restore relations with Pakistan. He has also slammed India for sheltering Hasina and has sought to have her extradited to Bangladesh.
