Boy, 6, dies after being hit by car as man arrested on suspicion of drug driving

A six-year-old boy has died after he was hit by a car on the weekend. Police were called to Anchor Drive in Ellesmere Port at around 11.40am on Sunday, April 19 following reports a child had been hit by a black Infiniti FX30D. The boy was taken to hospital with family members, where they were met by police and paramedics near to Whitby Sports and Social Club. He was then transported to the Countess of Chester Hospital. He later died in hospital as a result of his injuries. His next of kin are
