Pope sacks Chaldean bishop of San Diego after arrest for money laundering

Pope Leo XIV on Tuesday sacked the Chaldean bishop of San Diego after his arrest on suspicion of money laundering.     The Chaldean bishop of the Eparchy of Saint Peter the Apostle of San Diego of the Chaldeans in the United States, Msgr. Emanuel Hana Shaleta, has been dismissed, Vatican sources said.     He was arrested on March 5th at San Diego International Airport while attempting to leave the United States.     Shaleta is accused of embezzlement and money laundering.     The Pope on
