Starting October 12, the European Union officially began the gradual implementation of its new Entry/Exit System (EES), introducing a digital framework to register the entry and exit of all non-EU nationals crossing the bloc’s external borders. The new system replaces the long-standing passport-stamping process with a digital database that records personal and biometric information. Under the new rules, non-EU citizens will have to provide biometric data, including fingerprints and a facial
