This year the country will come together to commemorate the 80th anniversaries of VE Day and VJ Day. It will be an opportunity to pay tribute to the Greatest Generation. Their bravery and sacrifice, at home and abroad, defeated the evil of fascism and secured a peace and freedom that has endured to this day.
