Kate Kallot on Building an AI Future for the Global South

Kate Kallot is working to ensure that the Global South isn’t just benefitting from artificial intelligence, but also shaping its future. She’s the founder of Nairobi-based AI company Amini, which is building the data and infrastructure needed to do that. On Dec. 5, Kallot received a TIME100 Impact Award in Abu Dhabi, in recognition of her efforts to build an AI ecosystem that serves the Global South.
