NASA probe in Christmas Eve flight to 'uncharted territory' of Sun's surface

A NASA mission is set to reach its destination - the "uncharted territory" of the sun's surface - by Christmas Eve. The Parker Solar Probe will near the raging flames of the sun on December 24, and is expected to get closer to the star than any other human-made object. The 110lb probe will be travelling at around 430,000mph as it hovers just 3.8million miles from the surface. To do so, it will have to cut through massive plumes of plasma, according to a NASA statement . The spacecraft, which is
