Coal production in Romania declines to 1.758 million toe, down 15.8% from 2023

Romania's coal production exceeded 1.758 million tonnes of oil equivalent (toe) in the first 11 months of last year, a decrease of 15.8% (minus 329,700 toe) compared to the same period in 2023, according to data centralised by the National Institute of Statistics (INS). Coal imports during the mentioned period amounted to 174,800 toe, down by 11,700 toe (minus 6.3%) compared to January-November 2023.
