ISTANBUL Global sales of electric vehicles (EV) are expected to exceed 20 million this year, accounting for more than 25% of all vehicles sold, according to a report by the International Energy Agency (IEA) on Wednesday. Global EV sales continue to grow despite uncertainties in the global economy and pressures on the automotive sector, according to the Global EV Outlook report. While global sales exceeded 17 million in 2024, the market share of these vehicles exceeded 20% for the first time.
