For too many years, Romania has been known for focusing on treating rather than preventing diseases, which has led to high mortality rates from preventable causes. Even today, Romania’s treatable and preventable mortality rates remain well above the EU average, according to the latest data from the OECD’s State of Health report. However, a significant shift is happening—Romanians are becoming more proactive about their health, with medical subscriptions playing a key role in driving this change.
