President Trump's April 2 tariffs could cost American families between $1200 - $1500 if set universally and at a level of around 15-20%, says Adam Posen of the Peterson Institute. He sees the Laffer curve for tariffs as collecting less revenue if tariffs are set at a level above 20%.
