June 5 (UPI) -- Actor and television personality Mario Lopez will host the Presidential 1776 Award special in June. Lopez, 52, will oversee the first-ever Presidential 1776 Award national finals, a competition for high school students to showcase their knowledge of U.S. civics. Finalists from each region of the United States will gather in Washington to answer questions about "the Constitution, America's founding principles, and defining moments in U.S. history," according to a press release.
