Thirty years ago this week, one of the best summers for movies in Hollywood history began with the release of three completely different but equally excellent films: Jim Jarmusch’s art house Western “Dead Man,” Larry Cohen’s exploitation throwback “Original Gangstas,” and the Michael Crichton-Jan de Bont action extravaganza “Twister.” The range of these three movies is emblematic of just why the summer of 1996 was so great: no
