Footballer, 19, stabbed and undergoes emergency life-saving surgery after attack

A 19-year-old footballer needed two rounds of life-saving surgery after being stabbed in the early hours of Sunday morning. Alamara Djabi, who plays for Danish side Midtjylland, was attacked in the city of Herning. Djabi was initially placed in an induced coma but has woken up after two surgeries. The midfielder is now in a stable condition, his club say. In a statement, Midtjylland confirmed: "Alamara Djabi was seriously injured in a stabbing and is now in stable condition after two operations.
