Scott Mills shared how the BBC helped him after the death of a boyfriend, saying "thank God for Radio 1" prior to his axing from the broadcaster. Mills' departure from BBC Radio 2 was announced on 30 March and he was sacked over an allegation concerning his "personal conduct". It's since been revealed that the BBC’s decision to sack Scott Mills relates to a 2016 police investigation into “serious sexual offences” against a teenage boy . Mills was questioned by police under caution but the case
