I won't quit if Italians vote 'no' to justice referendum says Meloni
Government
Premier Giorgia Meloni said Monday that she will not resign if the Italian people vote to reject her government's reform of the judiciary in the March 22-23 referendum on it. The Constitutional reform separates the career paths of judges and prosecutors so they can no longer swap between the roles, creates a high court to discipline members of the judiciary, splits the judiciary's self-governing body, the CSM, into two and changes the way CSM justices are elected, using a draw process.
