Map Shows Countries Where Christian Persecution Growing

A new report by the Christian charity Open Doors has highlighted which countries have the most extreme levels of Christian persecution worldwide. The advocacy group said that Christian persecution was at an "all-time high," and that "Nigeria remains the global epicenter of deadly violence against Christians." In 2026, more than 388 million Christians worldwide, or one in seven, faced high levels of persecution and discrimination for their faith, which the charity said was 8 million more people
