Shadow energy and equalities secretary Claire Coutinho has told Sky News that a "focus on language" in debating immigration is stopping discussion on the "substantive point". She was responding to Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe's comments where he said the UK has been "colonised by immigrants" - and his subsequent apology citing "my choice of language has offended some people". Coutinho said that while she wouldn't have used Ratcliffe's language and understands why some people are
