A US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer has been charged with assault for allegedly pointing a gun at a vehicle while on duty, Minneapolis prosecutors said on Thursday. It is the first case in which a federal agent has been criminally charged for their actions during the Trump administration's 10-week immigration crackdown in Minnesota, dubbed Operation Metro Surge, officials said.
