Marty Supreme Cup hits South Keys Plaza

Ottawa's Champlain Table Tennis Club is hosting the inaugural Marty Supreme Cup at its South Keys Plaza location, a tournament inspired by the film of the same name in which players compete using old-school sandpaper paddles instead of rubber rackets to level the playing field for all skill levels. CTV's Josh Marano reports that club owner Paulo Chira says the format is designed to take the game back to how it was played decades ago, with sandpaper paddles reducing the spin and speed advantages
