Pupils have been planning "school wars" with rival children from local schools, forcing various police forces to step in. Kerensa Neal, headteacher of Plantsbrook School , sent an email to parents and carers at the secondary school in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham , informing them that a disturbing message was being circulated about a "Sutton Coldfield school war". It is not clear whether any other schools in the town, located around 8 miles north-east of Birmingham city centre, were involved.
