President Donald Trump unveiled new tariffs that boosted the average US rate on goods from across the world. Taken together, the result will be higher tariffs on goods from almost all US trading partners. Trump said the US will put a 35% tariff on some imports from Canada, as well as a 39% tariff on imports from Switzerland, and a 15% levy on goods from New Zealand.
