Donald Trump has claimed he is responsible for ending eight wars. Since August, Mr Trump has revised the number of wars he claims to have ended twice, up from six to eight. As part of this, the US president has reignited a push to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, and the progression of his 20-point peace plan for Gaza came right before the 2025 winner was announced. The award ultimately went to Venezuela's opposition leader Maria Corina Machado , a decision The White House has criticised. So
