Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Gotham FC and United States Women's National Team midfielder Rose Lavelle was voted the 2025 U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year, the federation announced Friday. Lavelle, 30, helped lead Gotham FC to the NWSL secure a second league title in three years in 2025. She recorded five goals and two assists over the Bats' final nine regular-season matches. She also scored the decisive goal in the Bat's NWSL Championship win over the Washington Spirit. Lavelle received NWSL
