President Donald Trump faced questions on Fox News over his earlier claims that the Iran war would be resolved quickly as new polling showed deep public dissatisfaction with his handling of inflation and gas prices. The U.S. president has repeatedly said that he was close to a deal to end the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, the critical waterway through which one fifth of the world’s hydrocarbons transits.
