When Richard Warwick was sent to Treloar’s College in Hampshire, he hoped their haemophiliac unit would give him a normal childhood. He instead became a victim of contaminated blood given at an NHS medical centre within the college. The Blood Scandal, which has been dubbed as the worst medical disaster in NHS history, resulted in over 30,000 people, including 122 children from the school, being infected with HIV and Hepatitis C.
