Hong Kong heads to the polls to pick new lawmakers for its Legislative Council

Hong Kong residents are voting on Dec 7 for the Legislative Council, just 10 days after the devastating Tai Po fire which stunned the city. About 4.1 million people are eligible to vote and more than 600 polling stations have been set up. Voter turnout is currently about 25 per cent, compared with about 30 per cent during the last election. Among the geographical constituencies, New Territories North East, where Tai Po is located, has the lowest figure so far. Deborah Wong files this report
