An honor of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic was awarded to academic and researcher Silvia Giordani, professor of Nanomaterials at Dublin City University (Dcu), who is working in Ireland on the development of new cancer treatments. The handover took place at the hands of Italy's ambassador to Dublin, Nicola Faganello, during a brief ceremony held at the diplomatic headquarters in the presence of Professor Daire Keogh, rector of Dcu, and the top management of the Faculty of Chemistry
