(31 May 1999) Arabic/Nat About half of the Israeli-backed militiamen who've held the south Lebanese mountain town of Jezzine for 14 years have abandoned their garrison and dropped their guns. Though the withdrawal has not officially begun, 100 fighter have already departed. Down the hills from Jezzine, plainclothes fighters manned the crossing points.
