At least 39 people were killed and more than 70 injured after a dramatic collision between two high-speed trains in southern Spain late on Sunday, plunging the country into mourning. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez described the disaster as “ a night of deep pain ” and cancelled his Monday agenda to focus on the unfolding tragedy.
