(29 Aug 1997) English/Nat The State Department has welcomed the news that Sinn Fein - the political wing of the I-R-A -- will be admitted to all party talks on the future of Northern Ireland. The announcement comes after the Britain's Northern Ireland minister Mo Mowlam was satisfied that the IRA had made the ceasefire work since it was declared on July 19.
