Italy's annual inflation rate dropped to 1.2% in October from 1.6% in September, Istat said on Monday, confirming the figure given it its preliminary estimates.     The national statistics agency said its consumer price index (NIC) was down 0.3% month-on-month terms.     It said the drop in the annual inflation rate was mainly due to significant year-on-year slowdowns in the prices of regulated energy products (from +13.9% to -0.5%) and of unprocessed food products (from +4.8% to +1.9%).
