La Niña set to bring ‘active’ end to hurricane season — here’s how homeowners need to prepare

Homeowners are in the thick of the  hurricane season , but they may need to brace themselves for bigger storms to come.  NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center  announced Thursday that “La Niña conditions emerged in September 2025,” a shift expected to influence both the tail end of this year’s hurricane season and the broader fall and  winter weather  across the United States.
