Rejected: Bureaucratic imperialism and endless waiting

It was 2:30 pm on a Tuesday in early August, and I was sitting in the far-right seat of an Edinburgh visa facilitation center, waiting to submit my Schengen visa documents to a Lithuanian embassy representative. I had been waiting for nearly two hours.
