Respect and loyalty are needed between friends like the United States and Italy, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said in Berlin Wednesday, answering Italian journalists' questions about Donald Trump's digs at Premier Giorgia Meloni for not helping in the Iran war. "I believe it must always be kept in mind that a relationship of alliance and friendship like that between Italy and the United States must be based on loyalty and respect," said Tajani, who is also deputy premier.
