A clinical trial led by researchers from UCL and UCLH, which is soon to get underway, aims to transform the lives of lupus patients who don’t respond to current treatments. More than 3,000 people, mainly women, are diagnosed with lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus, SLE) in the UK every year.
