Five-year-old Liam Ramos was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents on Tuesday during an operation to arrest his father, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security said. The agency said Ramos was ‘abandoned’ after his father allegedly fled arrest but a statement from the boy’s school in Minnesota said another adult was denied the opportunity to take the child into their care.
