Oil prices fell sharply after US President Donald Trump said that the war in Iran would come to an end 'very soon'. Brent crude, the international benchmark, fell to about $91.70 a barrel, a day after soaring to $119.50. Trump told reporters that the US operation in Iran is 'ahead of our initial timeline by a lot' and that American forces have begun targeting Iran’s drone‑manufacturing capabilities.
