Sanitary Veterinary Authority activates set of measures against African swine fever

The National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA) has announced the activation of a set of strict biosecurity measures in Satu Mare County following the confirmation of an outbreak of African swine fever at a farm in Hungary near the Romanian border. According to the institution, the decision was taken after the Satu Mare local centre for disease control approved a package of measures aimed at preventing the virus from entering Romanian territory, agerpres reports. The
