Brits are reminded of symptoms of thyroid cancer - because it often takes years to diagnose. The delay is usually because its symptoms, including a sore throat and hoarse voice, are similar to those of a range of other conditions. The cancer, though, can affect one in 20 Brits, data shows. New research shows the delay in diagnosis can often be critical because, at late stages, little can be done to treat the cancer. The scientists at University of Aberdeen and top thyroid charities found it
