May 7 (UPI) -- Disney announced on Thursday that it is releasing Hamilton in a 4K UHD Collector's Edition. The Collector's Edition will be available to own June 16. The filmed 2016 Broadway performance premiered on Disney+ in 2020 . It was released in theaters in September . Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote the musical based on Ron Chernow's biography and stars as Alexander Hamilton .
