Brits living in draughty homes could be shelling out an extra £299 on their energy bills this year, with the nation facing a whopping collective bill of £3.8 billion. The older generation is bearing the brunt of these costs, as two thirds of those over 65 reside in homes that lack energy efficiency, leading to them forking out an additional £256 annually on energy compared to the under-30s at today's rates.
